The JANANI Greens Homestay is located in the laidback and peaceful village of Daronda, a stone's throw distance from the epicenter of the Bengal Revival and the larger Indian Renaissance- Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s very own Santiniketan.

The homestay was founded by a senior Officer of the Indian Army, Lt. Col. Rajat Kanti Das. Everything about JANANI Greens from its exterior to its spacious and airy rooms to its outstanding service, every bit was designed to make the homestay a harmonious retreat that you will never forget. The enviable location of the homestay lets travellers enjoy the best of both worlds- be right amidst the untamed and mesmerising beauty of nature as enjoyed from a comfortable, cozy and welcoming homestay.

Colonel Das was always a staunch believer in preserving the wild while making its beauty and charm accessible to everyday people. After his death the baton passed on to the Colonels’ sons, who spared no effort to maintain, if not make the homestay better.
